The Surrey Hills AONB - Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - is now 51 years old and in 2008 the Surrey Hills Society was formed, this new Society is intended to get local people and anyone else who wishes to become involved, to take more of an active part in this wonderful ANOB on our doorstep.

Looking after much of the open spaces around the Horsleys, including 'The Sheepleas' and 'The Forest'.
The Woodland Trust
The Woodland Trust cares for Clamp Rough and Gallows Grove Woods at Effingham Junction and the Great Ridings Wood that lies between East Horsley and Effingham.
